Some of his professional involvement, achievements, and recognitions include: • Michigan Registered Forester #312, Ceritfied Forester #14 SAF • Technical Service Provider #10-6642 Qualified for the USDA NRCS plan-writer on forest and wildlife plans (EQIP). • Qualified Forest Plan writer for forest lands that are eligible for the 16 mils tax reduction. • Aesthetic tree appraiser. Michigan Forestry and Park Association, Inc. Training • Michigan Real Estate Broker's License with Renken Consulting. • Develop depletion accounts on timberland. This acts like depreciation on reducing taxes paid on stumpage received from timber harvests. • Exchange in Kind 1031 where timber land can be sold with funds to purchase other timberlands.
